Yorkshire based packaging management specialist, Gap Systems has been acquired by market leader Loftware, in a deal which is set to create the industry’s most comprehensive enterprise labelling and artwork management solution.
Gap Systems was advised in the sale by Paul Berwin and Mike Patterson of Harrogate and Leeds law firm Berwins and by Martin Holden, Sally Thomas and Justine Stalker of the Harrogate office of UK chartered accountants,Saffery Champness.
US based Loftware has grown to become the global market leader in Enterprise Labelling Solutions and boasts more than 5,000 customers in over 100 countries. The acquisition of Gap Systems – which pioneered the management of complex product packaging projects with its flagship Smartflow product – means that Loftware is now uniquely placed to address the full spectrum of enterprise labelling and packaging artwork requirements for key industries such as those focusing on pharmaceutical, manufacturing and retail goods.
