The Yorkshire based practice will contribute legal advice sessions as part of the popular programme.
Designed to enable SMEs and Social Enterprises to best prepare for future Investment and raising of finance, the programme helps businesses to build tailor made action plans, address the broader challenges and opportunities in the present climate and to think towards the future.
The Programme has already supported the creation of 100 new jobs in the region and the raising of £5 million worth of Investment by its blended approach of educational webinars and hands-on 1-2-1 support.
Commenting on the partnership, Senior Partner Paul Berwin said “While there is much uncertainty around what the coming months will bring, we can be sure that resilient, growing businesses will sit at the heart of a post-COVID economic recovery and our region is fortunate to have the entrepreneurial organisations capable of leading that. By using programmes such as this to ensure that companies have the sure foundations on which solid development can be built, participants are placing themselves in a favourable position.”
“With a strong track record of supporting businesses from start up to scale up and across the business lifecycle, I’m delighted that the Berwins team will be part of this programme in 2021.”
James Clayton of Winning Pitch added “The Investment Readiness programme has proved to be a hugely successful initiative, thanks in no small part to the expert advisors who share their knowledge to support business growth. We are delighted that Berwins, a well-respected Yorkshire firm, has joined the programme and look forward to working together closely.”
The Investment Readiness Programme support is centred around helping SMEs prepare for Investment and raising finance, whether that be an immediate need or three years in the future. The support is centred around business and adding value to the SMEs and more broadly to the economy, working on six basic principles - Mindset, Teams, Branding, Housekeeping and Governance, Finance and Growth.
Further information on the programme, as well as details on how to register can be found online at www.investmentreadinessprogramme.co.uk. Berwins’ first session takes place on 23rd February 2021 and, in conjunction with accountancy specialist Garbutt + Elliott will explore the importance of getting company structure right.
