As part of the company's ongoing support of housing and homelessness charity Shelter, seven members of staff from Berwins Solicitors are in the final stages of training for this year’s Great North Run and are looking to repeat their success at the event last year.
Shelter, which like Berwins is marking a major anniversary this year is the firm's official charity for 2016 and helps millions of people annually by championing the cause of those facing issues associated with poor housing and homelessness.Through a combination of direct support and campaigning Shelter strives to achieve a vision of a safe, secure, affordable home for everyone – something which Berwins has committed to support.
Chair of Berwins’ CSR committee, Life Lawyer Hollie Marcham commented “At Berwins, we put care at the heart of everything we do, whether for the client, our colleagues or the community – supporting organisations such as Shelter is just one of the ways we express this.
“We’re also a company which takes teamwork seriously – in fact it’s something that’s been at the heart of our training for the run. That’s why it’s been fantastic this year to see people from across the business coming together and get involved with a whole range of activities to raise both funds and awareness for Shelter.”
Hollie will be joined on the 13.1 mile route by fellow members of the Life Team Helen Dawson, Alice Collingwood-Cooper and Cheryl Ingram along with Robin Poole from the Residential Property team and Commercial Lawyers Joanna Bowden and Emily Steed.
