Leading Harrogate law firm, Berwins, has challenged local businesses to get active to support good causes.
The firm is encouraging businesses to take part in the Berwins Corporate Challenge, which forms part of the popular Run Harrogate 10K event.
The challenge is open to teams of at least three runners, representing a business or organisation. The team which records the first three runners across the finishing line will earn £250 for their chosen charity, along with a specially commissioned shield and those all-important bragging rights.
“The Run Harrogate 10K makes a welcome return this summer and I’m proud that Berwins is continuing to support the event” said Senior Partner, Paul Berwin.
“The past 16 months have seen businesses face plenty of challenges and ensuring that staff are effectively supported has been essential. Encouraging employees to stay active is one of the best ways of safeguarding health and wellbeing and we hope that businesses will use this challenge to encourage staff to stay active.”
Commenting on the sponsorship, Harrogate Harriers’ Chairman, Adam Prentis added “We’re excited to welcome runners back to this event after a hiatus in 2020 and are delighted that Berwins has continued to support Harrogate Harriers in this way.”
Held on a multi-terrain course around the beautiful Crimple Valley area of the spa town, the Run Harrogate 10K takes place on Sunday 4th July 2021 and is suitable for all levels of runners. It will appeal to those contemplating their first race, but also to seasoned club runners who are looking for a new challenge.
The race has seen high levels of interest with only a limited number of the 1,000 spaces still available and will take place with all relevant COVID regulations being carefully observed.
Berwins itself has entered a strong team of runners, but has disqualified itself from winning the prize; nonetheless, it’s ready to take on challengers...
