Berwins Solicitors has pledged its support to Saint Michael’s Hospice for the whole of 2017 by naming the Harrogate based charity as its partner for the year.
The Harrogate and Leeds law firm already supports Saint Michael’s as members of the hospice’s Business 500 Club and has a long-standing commitment to good causes, having worked with housing and homelessness charity, Shelter and Macmillan cancer support in recent years.
Commenting on the association, Hollie Marcham, chair of the firm’s charity committee said “We’re really excited to support Saint Michael’s during 2017 – their 30th anniversary year”
“The vital work which the hospice is involved in is no secret – nor is the amazing job which staff and volunteers do to support so many families and individuals in the Harrogate area.”
Berwins – which marked its own 30 year milestone during 2016 – has a range of fundraising activities already planned and more in the pipeline.
Head of Fundraising at Saint Michel’s Luci Edwards said “We’re delighted to be working with Berwins during what is for us a very special year.”
“As a charity we rely on donations and support from individuals, companies, trusts and other foundations for 80% of our funding, so the support from a well established member of the Harrogate business community is a great boost to us”.
