Yorkshire law firm, Berwins, has been recognised by industry directory, Legal500, as one of the leading firms in the region.
The guide highlights deep expertise in all practice areas, with recognition for work in Family, Private Client, Employment, Corporate, IT, IP and Commercial Property units.
The directory gave particular praise to the firm’s well-thought of Family law unit, with one market commentator stating ‘that [the fact] they have operated under the radar on the national scene until now is remarkable.’
Reflected on the findings, Managing Director Paul Berwin said “I am thrilled to see some of the fantastic individuals and teams within the firm recognised in this way. From the outset, the firm has focused on specialising on what we do well – if we can’t do it brilliantly, we simply don’t do it – so to receive validation that the teams are working to such a high standard is pleasing.”
“What is always important about these rankings is that they are the result of independent research, which is built largely on client feedback. Care is the firm’s founding principle, so to see happy clients willing to share that high level of care and service in interviews is a particular delight.”
The directory also highlighted the ‘extremely collaborative way’ the firm works, praising the fact that when working with the firm’s legal teams, clients ‘feel part of their team… as they all work closely together with your best interests at the heart of what they do’.
In addition to the team rankings, lawyers in the practice were also singled out with 14 individuals mentioned. Head of Family, Danielle Day, was the only individual in the region to be singled out as a ‘Next Generation Partner’ – the directory’s way of recognising senior professionals who have received significant recognition from clients and peers in the market.
