As part of Berwins Solicitors’ support for Saint Michael’s Hospice, Helen Hutchinson a member of the Harrogate based law firm’s team, has accepted the Skydive Challenge” and is getting to jump at 15,000 feet.
Helen, will be taking the ultimate adrenaline test on Saturday 18th March as she takes to the skies above Lincolnshire for a tandem skydive which will include a full minute of free-fall at up to 120mph.
The jump is all part of Berwins’ year of support for the local hospice, but there is a deeper tie for Helen, who has had first-hand experience of the valuable work and support provided by Saint Michael’s.
“Most people locally are aware of the fantastic work that Saint Michael’s does every day – something which, is particularly close to my heart” said Helen, who works as part of Berwins’ Operations team.
“The hospice cared for both Mum and us as a family at a difficult time. So, it’s with much trepidation (and in spite of my son's misgivings!) that it’s my turn to support them and take on this challenge”.
Commenting on the charity work, Chair of the firm’s CSR Committee, Hollie Marcham added “It’s fantastic to see Helen getting involved. We’ve had such a strong response from across the firm with people volunteering their time and efforts in anything from marathons to charity lunches – all part of the care for our community which makes Berwins such a special place to be.”
